A Highfield dinghy valued at about $16,000 was found one day after it reported missing, Oak Bay police say.
Oak Bay officers tracked it down at McNeill Bay with assistance from the RCMP, police say.
The dinghy was freed from the beach by officers and towed away by an RCMP vessel.
The dinghy was reported missing on May 1. No one was seen in the area when it was found.
