A one-year-old dog, who was found abandoned and tied up outside the Richmond Animal Shelter, has found a new home.
Richmond Animal Shelter staff confirmed with the Richmond ¾¢±¬´ó¹Ï on Wednesday afternoon that Lucy the German shepherd has been adopted and “is doing great in her new home.”
The “sweet and affectionate” dog - as described by staff at the BCSPCA-run facility - was found tied to a fence outside the No. 5 Road shelter more than four months ago.
BC SPCA staff made an appeal in the summer and again in early October through the ¾¢±¬´ó¹Ï to help Lucy find a new family, which resulted in many inquiries, many of which came from ¾¢±¬´ó¹Ï readers.
