I feel a little naive. I always thought that the "L" on the back of cars meant "Learners" but forgive me if I now think that it might mean "Liberal.

I'd like to thank Bob Kusch and all the municipal staff who helped make Soccerfest weekend a success. In difficult economic times I don't think Squamish can turn down opportunities for attracting guests.

It's the talk of the town. Everyone felt their blood pressure go through the roof while driving to and from work this week.

Amid images of frazzled high-voltage wires, Mr. Manzl in his column last week asks "what's happening up at Quest?" ["Squamish - a town fraught with questions," The Chief, April 24]. I am only too happy to reply. To begin, however, a few corrections.

I understand that the government of B.C. promised the communities that were serviced by BC Rail to all share in the $1 Billion profit that the government made in the sale of the railroad to CN Rail.

It's the constant question in Canadian elections: should you vote for the person or the party? And if you vote for the person but dislike the party's policies, can you be confident that your representative's voice will be heard in our stifling party-
